Eng. Haithem Mohammed Mojil Alfaraj

Eng. Haithem Mohammed Mojil Alfaraj is a distinguished leader in Saudi Arabia’s telecommunications and technology sector, with over two decades of experience spanning the telecom and energy industries. Most recently, he served as Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at stc, where he led large-scale transformation initiatives that reshaped the organization’s digital and operational landscape. His contributions included modernizing network infrastructure and re-architecting network capabilities, advancing digital platforms, enhancing customer experience management, and accelerating cloud adoption. He also strengthened cybersecurity capabilities, established innovation labs to drive emerging technologies, and led talent capability development programs - collectively reinforcing stc’s position as a leading digital technology group.
Earlier in his career, Eng. Alfaraj held senior technology leadership roles at Mobily and began his professional journey at Saudi Aramco, developing deep expertise in large-scale technology operations and engineering.
He has also played an active role in governance and strategic oversight, serving as Chairman of Sirar, a cybersecurity company, and holding board positions at TAWAL and solutions by stc, where he contributed to strategic direction, governance, and growth.
He also contributes to global industry development as a member of the GSMA Technology Group Board and serves on the Board of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), a partnership between KACST and the World Economic Forum.
Eng. Alfaraj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and an Executive MBA from Hult International Business School. He has also completed executive programs at INSEAD, IMD and Harvard Business School.
